Blu-ray Disc sales rose in 2009, hitting the $1.5 billion mark for the first time. There were a number of Blu-ray Discs that helped this number because they sold over 1 million units each:

- Summit Entertainment – “Twilight”
- Paramount Home Entertainment – “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”
- Warner Home Video – “The Hangover”

“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” was the highest grossing Blu-ray DVD of 2009 – wow!
