On January 26th Disney’s movie “Surrogates” will be released on Disney DVD and Blu-ray from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. The movie stars popular actor Bruce Willis and is directed by Jonathan Mostow.

Turns out “Surrogates” is based off of the graphic novel created by Robert Veditti and Brett Weldele.

- James Cromwell
- Rosamund Pike

Bruce’s character is named Tom Greer, and he is an FBI agent who lives in a world where robot surrogates stand in for people in order to protect them from the appearance of aging and from violence. This gives every individual the opportunity to look the way they want and to live the way they want while they themselves are still in the safety of their own homes.

That is, until a college student mysteriously dies when his surrogate is destroyed – which was not thought possible. Bruce’s surrogate ends up damaged during the investigation and he does something most people wouldn’t think of – venturing outside on his own, without a surrogate to do so for him. This is the first time Bruce’s character has been out of doors in decades and he must now decide who is real as well as who can be trusted.
