It is being reported that Disney’s Studio Production Chief, Oren Aviv has been fired from his position. This comes just a few months after the Chief of the Studio, Dick Cook, stepped down and was and replaced by Rich Ross in October.
And it’s not just the studio that’s been affected lately. Daniel Battsek, Chief of Miramax Films got fired as well, and the Chief of Dinsey’s Motion Picture Group, Mark Zordai.
Oh yea, and the Motion Picture Group’s Marketing Chief Jim Gallagher is gone too.
What is going on here?
Numerous high-up employees at Disney have also been swapped between groups to take control of new pieces of the company.
It looks like Disney CEO Bob Iger is restructuring the company, and he’s taking his job very seriously. But many see this is as Iger turning Disney into a “brand factory” rather than worrying about each of its components individually and instead worrying strictly about the company as a whole.
It is predicted that we are not done seeing changes at the Walt Disney Company, so we’ll be on the lookout for when those happen.
What do you think of all of this?
