George Clooney has succeeded in creating a telecast called “Hope For Haiti” which will be broadcast on Friday, January 22nd.
The two-hour telecast will raise money to benefit the victims of the Haitian earthquake. A number of television stations will be airing the telecast, at 8PM, including:
- ABC
- BET
- CBS
- CMT
- CNN
- CW
- FOX
- HBO
- MTV
- NBC
- VH1
Judy McGrath, the chairman and chief executive of MTV Networks said about working with George Clooney putting this together: “We were all stricken watching this heartbreaking event unfold, and we thought we could do something on our networks. Almost simultaneously, as we started working on this, I got a call from George Clooney.”
George will be hosting the telethon and a number of celebrities have been asked to come and help out.
