Hong Kong Disneyland (HKD), the smallest Disney park out there, has reported a lost of HK$1.315 billion, or $169.4 million.
The paper that reported the news stated that: “We would like to point out that HKD is a long-term asset that grows over time and it is still in its early years of development.”
While the park itself has had financial losses, it has brought in over HK$30 billion for Hong Kong as a whole.
The park is currently undergoing a $468 million expansion which will hopefully allow it to compete more closely with the Disneyland planned for Shanghai, which is expected to be completed in 2014.

This is not really surprising. I live in Hong Kong and the disney here really sucks. It’s so small, there aren’t many good rides and most of the space is used for stores and such.
