A new project has been announced for Miley Cyrus – a movie called “LOL: Laughing Out Loud.” The movie is a remake of a French movie made in 2008, and it is likely that Demi Moore will play Miley’s mom in the movie.
In the film, Miley’s character has been cast off by her boyfriend and decides to pursue his best friend, while at the same time her mother is divorced and is finding it difficult to restart her life as a single lady while trying to maintain a relationship with her daughter.
The new version of the film will be written and directed by the original writer/director of the French film, Lisa Azuelos.

Haha I’m french and I’ve watched this movie it’s a good movie but I don’t know if it’s a good idea to make Miley play in !! there’s gonna be a lot of people complaining that’s not a good example from Miley to get this part because there’s some inapropriate languages or scene for kids !!! by the way I think Miley will be perfect in Lola for this movie !!
I saw the french movie and i think it’s a bad idea to make a remake of this film! Because the first was amazing! Miley have a purity ring and in the original movie the teenager sleep w/ other they have sex drug smoke…. I think Disney does’t aprouve!!!

I’m french and I of course saw the movie LOL and it was amazing, but the fact that they want to “remake” it is pathetic and stupid. It’s just copying!! Do they not have ANY ideas of their own that they have to go now and ruin a very good french film?!?

i think its good for miley to step outside the disney world because she is going into adulthood and because she is getting ready to leave hannah montana she has to get the older audiences so thats good. but i don’t think its good for her to be in the bed with someone even though she is leaving disney she isn’t leaving her younger audiences and this movie is a make it or break it so lets cross r finger and hope for the best. I do not, however, like the idea of her being in this movie. She should realize that she still has small children looking up to her. Yes, she IS growing up, but she needs to ease herself into adult roles slowly. She’s still a child. This isn’t a good movie for her to be in. I do realize that I probably will not influence a change in casting though, so I’ll simply embrace it.

The french version is so funny and amazing!! I agree with laughing elf man. I really hope this isn’t true because Miley Cyrus would be terrible at this role and there are so many sex and drug scenes and it just wouldn’t work. Ugh please do not. The movie was great and doesn’t need to be remade. Remaking it will destroy it, especially if Miley is in it. Her “good girl” imagine that disney is pushing doesn’t fit with the role of Lola anyway. And her less than average acting skills aren’t worthy of such a good movie.
The problem is not that miley is with disney. It’s just her image, she is trying to be all grown up and all but to many people she is still Hannah Montana and has many younger fans who look up to her. Miley is probably trying to get this part so she can seem all grown up in a movie with sex and drugs *omg wooooow* but she is not grown up and should not have this part because she just is not the right fit for lola she has the wrong image, personality, and additude, and would clash with the whole concept of the movie.
Why are they re-making this movie. All i’ve heard from the french is how great the original was. REALLY? Do you have to remake it? Proposal: The Original, French LOL should be shown in America as is, but with subtitles. No voice-overs and certainly no remakes. I think this movie as is would be great for America because it gives us a glimpse into the French teenage culture scene. I’m American but I happened to catch a bit of the movie with American subtitles and I loved it. I don’t want this redone. I know, for sure, they would certainly make it more Americanized and I am so sick of that. Showing the original would be much more refreshing. Did they ever remake Paris Je T’aime?! (NYC, I Love You doesn’t count because it’s a sequel, not a remake)

I’ve seen the French movie in his original version in french and it’s a really good movie! But I don’t know if the remake is going to be as good as the original..? But it’s a good idea to put the original writer/director at the commands once again! For Miley Cyrus it’s going to be cool but you know…with all the things who are going to be say about sex,drugs,… it’s going to be hell! But for sure i’m going to see the remake of LOL! =)

My guess is several times. Sorry, but how else do you think she was dating a 20 year old at the age of 15? I’m fairly sure that their conversations weren’t amazing enough to not have him interested in sex. Anyways, she’s 17 and she’s making out with girls in the movie, smoking pot, and sleeping with guys.
