ABC has picked up three new pilots:
- “Cutthroat” – From 20th TV, this drama/comedy is about a single mom who finds that running her own international drug cartel is the perfect training she needs for navigating the “cutthroat” world of high society in Beverly Hills, California. (Sounds a lot like the show “Weeds” to us!)
The show is written and produced by Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters who worked on “Reaper.”
- “Generation Y” – From ABC Studios, this is a documentary-style drama that watches a group of people both in the present and 10 years ago (using the flashback-style filming that ABC’s LOST has become known for). The show watches the individuals as they attend senior year of high school and then flashes forward to show where they are today.
Generation Y is based on the Scandinavian series “God’s Highway.”
- “The Whole Truth” – From Producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Warner Bros. TV shows the building of a legal case from the perspective of the defense as well as the prosecution.
