Taylor Lautner has just signed on for a new movie about the popular Hasbro toy “Stretch Armstrong.” The film will be put out by Universal Pictures.

Even better news for fans of Taylor’s muscles is that the movie will be shot in 3-D!

Universal Pictures cochair Donna Langley said about Taylor’s new role: “In the past two years, Taylor has emerged as a real star at the global box office. He brings the perfect balance of energy and athleticism to the role of an unlikely super hero with a fantastic super power. We couldn’t be more pleased that he has agreed to be our Stretch.”

Taylor’s “Stretch Armstrong” movie is set to release to theaters in the spring of 2012.
