She also talks a bit about how she wanted to try to step away from the Jonas Brothers and the “empire” they have built and stand on her own two feet in the music business.

Can you say ungrateful for everything given to her. She would be nothing musically without the Jonas Brothers. Funny, the second album has done nowhere near as well as the first. Jonas Brothers fans supported her and bought her first CD because they were a part of it. For the second one, they probably just bought the song that Nick was part of. There are so many choices from Disney out there, she just isn’t the best of those choices.
I think it is fine! she means no disrespect cause they are still her friends. I think that it is wonderful that she is starting to be related to being Demi Lovato rather then a collaborator with the Jonas Brothers. She needs to stand on her own and she has done a wonderful job. Everyone fights their battles to be noticed and to be worthwhile and with the effort Demi has put forward she stood her ground, drew her sword, and cleaved a mountain. She is my favorite artist and I am so proud of what she has done with her music and the fact that she is trying so hard.

I respect that she is trying to do something different and i love both her albims. She didn’t say that she was breaking away from the Jonas Brothers, just trying to stand out. I love Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers!
