Disney’s Alice In Wonderland Theater Run Shortened

February 12, 2010 |  by

It is being reported that Walt Disney Studios will be shortening the run time for the upcoming film “Alice In Wonderland” in theaters. As opposed to the 17 week run that was expected for the Tim Burton-directed movie, fans will instead only be able to catch the movie in theaters for a run of 12 weeks.

It is also being reported that numerous cinema owners are upset with Disney’s decision because they will be losing money from ticket sales, however the home entertainment industry is happy with the decision because the shortened run will likely lead to a higher number of DVD and Blu-ray sales.

  1. Owners need to stop getting their nickers in a twist. Who cares if it is 12 or 17 weeks. Theater owners should advertise the start and end dates to movies anyway.
