The Walt Disney Company is hoping that Apple’s iPad will help it revive it’s gaming business, calling the iPad a “game changer.”
The President of the Walt Disney Company, Bob Iger, said about the iPad: “It will enable us to create product that’s different from the product that we see on television and internet-connected television.”
The Walt Disney Company hopes to rely more on video games that are less expensive to produce in the future – which would mean games that could be played on portable devices such as the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Nintendo Wii.
Bob continued by saying: “We think digital media, while clearly significant, is still evolving. This is the beginning of the beginning, and that’s how we look at it.”
