Ashley Tisdale will be singing in the upcoming remake of the movie “Teen Witch,” which originally debuted in 1989.

Ashley says: “In the original, you know, Robin Lively didn’t sing at all, even though other girls performed. But the studio said, ‘Hey, you’re a singer, right?’ They reworked the script so it can be more of a musical. The plan is to start filming at the end of the year…I’m really excited about it. I think it’s going to be so much fun! Fans of the original will love it I think, and as far as it being different, I can tell you it will be a lot more current.”
