Johnny Depp is on the newest issue of Entertainment Weekly dressed up as the Mad Hatter.
In the magazine, Johnny talks about his seventh collaboration with director Tim Burton, “Alice In Wonderland.”
Johnny was nervous that the executives at Disney wouldn’t understand his take on the Mad Hatter: “When we first went in to do the camera tests, I was thinking, ‘They’re going to lose their minds.’ But Tim fully supported it. It was a couple of solid hours in the makeup chair everyday but it really helped. You start to understand who the guy is through all that weird kind of Carrot Top kabuki.”
Even though fans of Johnny Depp’s are excited that “Alice In Wonderland” is hitting select theaters in 3D, Johnny won’t be able to appreciate the movie technology. He said: “I’m actually unable to see 3-D. I’ve got a weird thing where I don’t see properly out of my left eye, so I truly can’t see 3-D.”
