Bret Michaels Talks About “Nothing To Lose” With Miley Cyrus

February 28, 2010 |  by

There was a bit of controversy that came from Miley Cyrus’ duet with Bret Michaels “Nothing To Lose.” Some of the lyrics seemed a bit suggestive and fans weren’t really sure how they felt about Miley singing on the track.

In a recent interview with Us Magazine, Bret Michaels stood up for Miley, saying:

“As God is my witness, there is nothing I have to be defensive about…I’m a good Dad. I just thought it was a beautiful song…the part where it says she slowly gets undressed, Miley says, ‘Yeah she does.’ It has no reference to her and I. It’s not even a duet.”

Check out the song above and let us know what you think.

  1. yeah there is nothing wrong with the song, if miley had said yes i do, or something like that it would be wrong but she says yeah she does, so it has nothing wrong it at 1:56 listen to it she says YEAH SHE DOES, it has nothing o do with her,it has no reference to her !!

  2. I’m sorry. Bret is a lying alcoholic who uses his diabetes as a crutch, lies to his fans, hangs out with whores, puts his cock on the internet, and he’s doing this?

It makes him nothing more than a pedophile. Sorry. It’s that simple, and nothing more can be said. He has very little talent, he’s barely made it on his own with a half-baked band like Poison, and now he’s riding on the coattails of a popular disney star so he can get his picture in the paper and the news because he’s got nothing left.

It’s pathetic. Miley is a fool. And Billy Ray is fucking stupid for allowing his daughter to work with a pathetic loser like Butt Pirate Michaels.

  3. Well, that’s not creepy at all….
    lol :P

  4. i see nothing wrong with it they sound good together …. hhmm after all IT IS JUST A SONG!!!!!! listen to some of the other crap out there then talk sh*t bout this one …. this is no where near as bad as some others i have heard, and to think elementary kids listen to the”BAD” stuff!!!

  5. At first the thought of it creeped me out, but after listening to it, I see that she is just harmonizing (at times awkwardly!)…the song was written long before they met in the studio…maybe it wasn’t the best choice, but not a bad one either. Most of her harmonies sound really great!! Continued success to both of them!

  6. Hey Tiffany-

You’re worried about a Disney star when you’re on a Disney site using that kind of language.

Sounds to me like you’ve been rejected by Brett and are holding a grudge. If he really doesn’t matter to you then why are you so animated with your words? Why do you give it any attention at all?

This is a well done song, with a guest vocalist. Good job to both.
