Joe Jonas Has A Cameo In Vampire Weekend’s “Giving Up The Gun” Music Video

February 19, 2010 |  by  |  1 Comment

Joe Jonas has a cameo in the upcoming music video for Vampire Weekend’s “Giving Up The Gun” song. Above and below are pictures from the video.

The video is directed by Emmett Malloy who took the song and decided to depict it with a performance from the band as well as a tennis match between the cameo parts – including Joe.

Emmett explained:

“We lit s**t on fire. We had RZA presiding over the tennis match. Lil Jon came down to give some tennis tips. Jake Gyllenhaal drank himself out of the competition; Joe Jonas tried, but did not succeed. There was a lot of rigorous competition, pyrotechnics, and a little bit of milk to cap it all off. The concept was simple. It centers on a sort of bizarre-o tennis match. … I thought the idea was cool; it was a simple one-page idea.”

The music video was shot in Los Angeles, but no word yet on when it will be airing.

ABC LOST’s Cave Wall Numbers Match Hatch Numbers

February 19, 2010 |  by  |  7 Comments

Did anyone else realize that the numbers on the cave walls of LOST, which we just saw in Season 6 Episode 4, match the numbers from Hurley’s lottery ticket and the numbers on the Hatch door?

Here are the numbers on the wall:

4. “Locke”
8. “Reyes”
15. “Ford”
16. “Jarrah”
23. “Shephard”
42. “Kwon”

And here are the numbers from the Hatch:

4 8 15 16 23 42

Now here’s where we getting a little bit nervous. It was recently revealed that because it’s the end of the LOST series, the creators are planning on killing off a number of the characters. Will they perish in order of their numbers?

4. John Locke (who is technically already dead, but his body is inhabited by someone else, so is he the first to be checked off the list?)
8. “Hugo ‘Hurley’ Reyes
15. James ‘Sawyer’ Ford
16. Sayid Jarrah
23. Jack Shephard
42. Sun & Jin Kwon

We have two problems with this list. First, is number 42 for Sun, or for her husband Jin, or both.

And second. WHERE’S KATE AUSTEN!?

If we find out in the next episode that Kate is already dead, we’re not going to be pleased. At first we thought that perhaps they just didn’t show Kate’s number on the cave wall, but when we realized the cave wall numbers matched the hatch numbers we assume that Kate is already crossed off, or will be very, very soon.

And if the cave numbers are the same as the hatch numbers you have to assume that Jacob, who brought everyone to the island and wrote the names on the cave wall, knew who would be listed next to those numbers on the cave wall – and wouldn’t he have been better off just bringing those individuals to the island instead of everyone else as well?

What do you think of all of this?

Everybody’s Fine DVD Review

February 18, 2010 |  by  |  No Comments

On February 23, 2010 get excited to pick up your copy of “Everybody’s Fine” on DVD from Miramax Home Entertainment.

The movie stars a celebrity cast including:

- Robert De Niro
- Drew Barrymore
- Kate Beckinsale
- Sam Rockwell
- Lucian Maisel
- Damian Young
- James Frain
- Melissa Leo
- Katherine Moennig
- Brendan Sexton III
- James Murtaugh
- Austin Lysy

We thought that the movie was great for a cold night spent at home on the couch with a blanket over you. It was a really heartfelt movie that showed what Robert De Niro’s character had to go through after his wife passed away and he lost close touch with his children – since his wife was the one who took care of that.

Robert decides he’s going to go on a trip across the country to surprise each of his children, but they are keeping even more secrets from him than normal – this time the secret being that one of their siblings is missing.

As Robert travels from state to state, child to child (who are now full-grown adults), your heart sinks further and further as you notice that none of them want to make the time to hang out with him, partly because their minds are on their missing brother, but also partly because they are so consumed with their own lives that they can’t make time for their father.

You learn each child’s secrets right along with Robert’s character, and you can feel his pain with him.

We highly recommend this movie for anyone who likes a drama that causes a tear here and there.

The exclusive bonus features on the DVD include:
- The Making of Paul McCartney’s “(I Want To) Come Home”
- Deleted and Extended Scenes

The DVD will retail for $29.99. Watch clips and see more images from the movie below:
