If the Walt Disney Company doesn’t make a deal with Cablevision by early Sunday morning, 3 million cable customers in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut won’t be getting the ABC channel anymore.
The contract Cablevision is under to carry the ABC station in those states expires at midnight on Saturday, March 7th, but Cablevision has not been able to reach an agreement with the Walt Disney Company about a new contract.
Both Disney and Cablevision have declined to comment to the media about the deal they are working on.
If this deal does not go through, cable customers in the states listed above will see a video, rather than the regularly scheduled ABC programming. The video will suggest that the customers watch their favorite ABC shows on ABC.com or Hulu.com
