Well, we’re not assuming that Justin Gaston is going to be too pleased to hear this, but Miley Cyrus has come forward to say that her current boyfriend Liam Hemsworth is her first true love.
Miley has also dated the youngest member of the Jonas Brothers – Nick Jonas – but apparently that wasn’t true love:
“Nick and I were so young. We really did have a genuine love, but it wasn’t like this. We met when I was 12. I didn’t know who I was.”
Miley says about her relationship with Liam:
“The last thing I was expecting was to fall in love. I went there [the film set for 'The Last Song'] thinking the summer was about me and getting focused on my career. But I guess God was like, ‘Girl, here is this amazing guy’.”

If you look at recent history, Pop stars who are ambitious enough to reach the top usually fizzle after getting into a serious relationship. Sometimes they just break down all at once, like Britney, who tried to live both lives instantly. It sounds cruel, but “married or significant other life” and “Diva life” just don’t mesh very well. This may explain why Miley’s music hasn’t been too good lately. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not saying pop stars shouldn’t fall in love. There are plenty who are, but have sacrificed their relationships to be at the top, while there are even more who choose love and have mediocre singing careers.
