It has just been revealed that Penelope Cruz will be playing the daughter of Blackbeard, played by Ian McShane, in the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures Pirates 4 Movie “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.”

Executive Producer Jerry Bruckheimer said, “She’s the daughter of the bad guy. She brings a lot of humor to it. And the fact that she’s so feisty.”

In addition there will be a “little romance between [Depp's] Captain Jack and the character that Penelope plays.”

Oh la la!

The movie will be released on May 20, 2011.
