Disney To Adapt “A Wrinkle In Time” For The Big Screen

March 27, 2010 |  by

Disney and Bedrock Studios are teaming up to adapt the novel “A Wrinkle In Time” by Madeleine L’Engle for the big screen.

The screenplay will be written by Jeff Stockwell while Cary Granat and Catherine Hand will produce. Executive Producer for the film will be Madeleine L’Engle’s daughter, Charlotte Voilkis.

The book is about a teenage girl, her classmate and her brother who travel across both time and space and work together to save their father as they are assisted by three mysterious women – Mrs. Who, Mrs. Which, and Mrs. Whatsit.

Looks like we’re going to have to dig up our copy and read it again before the movie comes out!

  1. Hahaha! I have a bunch of friends that have read this book and they said that it was really good….now I’ve got to get my hands on this book so I can read it for myself.

  2. This would be a perfect property to do with Bob Zimeckis’ action capture studio…oh wait, Disney just fired all those people.

  3. It’s so sad that Madeleine L’Engle passed away in 2007. She would have loved seeing her novel “A Wrinkle in Time” on the big screen. I’ve been a fan of hers since her first publication and have used it in my classroom ever since!
