The Disney Channel has ordered a second season of the Playhouse Disney series “Jungle Junction.” The new season will consist of 26 episodes and will begin airing in 2011.

The show is about a group of fun-loving half animals half vehicles who explore a unique jungle on wheels. The characters teach viewers about protecting the environment.

The Senior Vice President of Playhouse Disney Worldwide, Nancy Kanter, said:

“‘Jungle Junction’ has become a global success for Playhouse Disney, with preschoolers and their parents embracing its characters and unique jungle world. We are eager to continue working with our UK production partners at Spider-Eye to bring more adventure-filled episodes to kids around the globe.”

Jungle Junction airs on Disney Channel’s Playhouse Disney at 10am ET/PT.

  2. Hi There,

I am having the same problem. My 3 y.o. is obsessed with this show, it is all he watches and all he wants to watch. I can understand toys not being available last year since it started late…but this is the second year running and it is a smash hit. My son keep saying that the elves will make the toys…how do I explain that to him? I would really appreciate some toys available, or even a DVD before Christmas 2010!

    Thanks,
    hopefully mommy!

  3. Hello,

I am in the same boat. My son absolutely LOVES Jungle Junction and watches it every chance he gets. I’m not sure why such a great show hasn’t been released for DVD and Blu-Ray. We would already have it in both formats if it were!

  4. Good news. Jungle Junction toys are to become available in the Fall of 2011. Flair, a company in the UK will be producing them.
