On April 13th Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is releasing “The Great Mouse Detective: Mystery in the Mist Edition” to DVD.
“In the greatest little mystery in Disney history, the renowned Basil of Baker Street takes on his archenemy, the evil genius Dr. Ratigan, and this time the battle is for the entire city of London! With fresh and exciting bonus features, The Great Mouse Detective: Mystery in the Mist Edition will thrill audiences with an exciting game of “mouse and mouse” that’s not elementary by a long shot!”
The Great Mouse Detective was inspired by the adventures of Sherlock Holmes in the novels written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The Great Mouse Detective was directed by Ron Clements and John Musker.
The movie is about the detective Basil of Baker Street who must work to find the kidnapped toymaker Hiram Flaversham with the help of the toymakers daughter Olivia and his detective assistant Dr. David Q. Dawson.
Flaversham was taken by Dr. Ratigan who hopes to build a robot to replace Moustoria, the Queen of the Mice, so that he can control the entire rodent population of London.
