The Disney Parks blog has shared with Disney fans an update about what is going on with the expansion happening at the Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom park.

Ariel’s Grotto – a meet and greet area in Fantasyland – will be closing along with Pooh’s Playful Spot and Scuttle’s Landing snack location.

But don’t worry! Ariel won’t be gone from her spot for long as the new expansion will include a new grotto meeting area and a ride-through attraction called “Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid.”

The expansion is expected to be completed in 2013. Read more about the expansion here.
