His name was Secretariat and when he raced,grown men wept from the sheer excitement of being priviledged to watch him run. Sometimes,you couldn’t be certain he had his hooves on the ground.Nothing so beautiful,so powerful,so thrilling had ever touched the millions of people who saw him. He was perfection in motion and we still tremble from watching him in our minds,because no person who ever saw him run could forget the feeling he brought to them.
People who never saw him should know what a glorious creature of beauty he was. He lived and breathed to run and he lives in the dreams of those who love him still. It’s his time to be shared with all who only see him once a year at the Triple Crown clips. He should never be forgotten and hopefully this movie will explain what those who knew him understood….he was the greatest racehorse that ever lived.
