“The Last Song” actor Greg Kinnear will be starring in the upcoming miniseries “The Kennedy’s” on the History Channel.

Greg will play President John F. Kennedy in the 8 hour series alongside Katie Holmes who is slated to play the former first lady Jackie Kennedy.

Other actors include Barry Pepper who will play Robert F. Kennedy and Tom Wilkinson who will play Joe Kennedy Sr.

The series will look into the early years of the Kennedy’s and their rise to office before John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963.

The series is expected to premiere in 2011 and is executive produced by Joel Surnow.
