A Press Release was sent out today from Miley Cyrus’ team to let everyone know that her new album, titled “I Can’t Be Tamed” is set to release on June 22nd while the first single, with the same name, will begin airing on the radio on May 3rd. Miley’s new album is released by Hollywood Records.
MySpace Music will be hosting the global premiere of Miley’s single on Friday, April 30th at 12pm EST/9am PST – so be on the lookout for that! Then be sure to get online on May 18th to download the song when it hits iTunes!
When Miley’s CD hits stores in June you will be able to purchase it as a standalone CD as well as CD/DVD combo pack – the DVD will have a full-length, never-before-seen presentation from Miley’s sold-out worldwide “Miley World” concert tour. Also exciting is that this presentation will also air in a prime-time network special, but the scheduled date has not been announced yet.
Here is a quote from the press release about Miley’s album:
“Miley has grown up in the public eye, and her new CD reveals her natural progression and sophistication. Miley teamed with Grammy Award-winning producer John Shanks (Sheryl Crow, Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkson, Bon Jovi) and long-time Miley Cyrus collaborators Tim James & Antonina Armato (“Seven Things” and “See You Again”). Tim & Antonina produced and co-wrote “Can’t Be Tamed” with Miley, and the video was directed by MTV Award-winning Robert Hales (Justin Timberlake, Gnarls Barkley, Kings of Leon.) “Can’t Be Tamed” is a self-empowering song in which Miley asserts that she has to stay true to herself in relationships, and it is sure to become an anthem among her legions of fans around the world.”

The book “The Seven Rays” by Jessica Bendiger is set to be turned into a movie, but who would be best for the lead role in the film?
In a recent interview with IESB.net, Jessica said:
“I pictured Taylor Swift, intermittedly, just ‘cause she’s got such alien, exotic looks and that long blonde hair. I thought about Dakota Fanning, at one time, Saoirse Ronan and Selena Gomez. I love the idea of someone doing a successful hair or eye color change that really works. I find that fascinating. May the best woman win the part.”
Have you read “The Seven Rays”? Who do you think should get the part?
