AllStar Weekend Soundcheck Video

April 24, 2010 |  by  |  No Comments

AllStar Weekend posted the video below showing their soundcheck in Kissimmee, Florida for their concert today, April 24th.

During our recent interview with the group we asked them

If you could record a song with any musician, who would it be and why?

Zach answered:

“I would really like to record with Bruce Springsteen. He’s one of my idols and he was one of the first sets I listened to as a little kid. I love his music, I love his lyrics, I love his style, and it would definitely freak me out to record with him!”

Turns out Cameron would want to record with Prince! But what song, out of every song ever recorded, would he want to re-record himself?

“Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey!

Hopefully someday their dreams will come true! Until then, check out the guys soundcheck video below:

“Armageddon” Blu-ray Review

April 24, 2010 |  by  |  No Comments

We have seen the movie “Armageddon” more times than we can count, but we have to admit, watching the movie on Blu-ray disc is a much different experience! Everything is so much crisper and the action is more exciting!

The Blu-ray High-definition disc is being released from Touchstone Home Entertainment on April 27th. The movie was directed by Jerry Buckheimer and Michael Bay and stars a number of popular actors, including:

- Bruce Willis
- Ben Affleck
- Billy Bob Thornton
- Liv Tyler
- Owen Wilson
- Michael Clarke Duncan
- Will Patton

In the film a giant meteor is heading toward the Earth, threatening the lives of every inhabitant on the planet. NASA realizes there is only 18 days to save the world and they have to send up a team of “experts” to detonate the meteor – but it turns out that no trained astronauts fit the job description. NASA decides to hire the best drillers in the world for the job – a rag tag team of guys who have never had a day of space training in their lives, but they are now given the important job of saving the human race.

If you thought the special effects in “Armageddon” were good before, you won’t even believe what the special effects look like on Blu-ray Hi-Def. It makes the movie so much more real and the impact is heightened. As always we cried during the movie, but most times we start to tear up toward the end, this time, since it seemed as if we were actually in the film we started crying about 15 minutes in.

It seems every time we see the movie we forget that one of our favorite actors, Owen Wilson is in the film and we get really excited when he appears over a hill riding a horse. If you’ve seen the film, who is your favorite actor?

After the movie ended, and we dried our tears, we took some time to explore the bonus features on the Blu-ray Disc and were surprised by what we found!

- “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” – Aerosmith’s MTV Award-Winning Music Video
- Teasers and Trailers

This new Blu-ray will retail for $29.99 – will you be picking up a copy? We highly recommend the movie, especially if you’re into action, drama or in need of a good cry!
