Here are some new pictures for the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures movie “Tangled,” which was previously titled “Rapunzel.”
According to IMDB the movie is set to release to theaters this November and will star the following actors’ voices:
- Mandy Moore
- Zachary Levi
- Donna Murphy
Still no word has come from Disney on why they changed the name – thoughts?

I know why Disney changed the title. it was because the top execs stupidly expected The Princess and the Frog to make Pixar-type box office numbers, and blamed the whole “princess” genre when it disappointed. desperate for a hit, the new title diminishes the girly sound of the title, with the expectation that boys will travel in hordes to see it.
yeah, I know the whole thing sounds ridiculous, but it’s true.
I think the name is awsome. To just name it Rapunzel… seems a little cliche? Tangled adds a new vibe to the story.
