Walmart is selling Miley Cyrus jewelry, from her Miley and Max line, which would be great, except that it has been found that the pieces contain high levels of cadmium. Wearers of the jewelry can be exposed to cadmium if they bite, chew, or suck on the jewelry and exposure can cause bone softening, hinder brain development or cause kidney failure.
Walmart has known about the cadmium in the pieces since February 2010, but they have not pulled the products yet.
