Disney Channel “Shake It Up!”
A new show will be hitting the Disney Channel this Fall 2010 called “Shake It Up!” The show was originally set to be titled “Dance, Dance, Chicago,” but according to reports the name has changed. The show will begin filming in July in Hollywood, California.
The show was created by Chris Thompson (“Laverne and Shirley,” “Bosom Buddies,” “The Naked Truth,” “Action”) and executive-produced by Thompson and Rob Lotterstein (“The War at Home,” “Ellen”).
The lead star of the show is Bella Thorne (“Big Love”), who guest starred in an episode of the Disney Channel series “Wizards of Waverly Place.”

Newcomers Bella Thorne and Zendaya make for one of the most likable and engaging BFF duos we’ve ever seen. And while buddy comedies have been around since the start of television, what makes ‘Shake It Up’ unique is that this is the first time anyone has incorporated dancing into the underlying premise of a sitcom.
The show will be about two characters, CeCe Jones and Raquel “Rocky” Blue, who dream of becoming professional dancers. They become background dancers on the most popular teen dance show “Shake It Up, Chicago,” and have to learn a bunch of new dance moves, while at the same time taking part in a number of new adventures!

- Zendaya as Raquel “Rocky” Blue
- Kenton Duty (“Lost”) as Gunther
- Adam Irigoyen (“Wizards of Waverly Place”) as Deuce
- Davis Cleveland (“Good Luck Charlie,” “Desperate Housewives”) as Flynn Jones

I always watch shake it up its my favorite show i’m just turning 9 on april i’m in 3rd grade and when shake it up was new on tv i loved it and thought it was funny i love shake it up cece and rocky are really funny i love it and always will i’m also a justin bieber fan i have his book, CD, and poster GO SHAKE IT UP AND JUSTIN BIEBER.

This show is not funny and offensive. Makes fun of Deuce for getting zits from popcorn @ the movies. Everyday kids have to deal with pimples! Cece & Rocky laughed right in his face because of their “perfect” little skin. Bella is full of herself and the show is unoriginal and boring.

@Ciera Dooley, they are having auditions for the new casting of Shake it Up at the end of this month beginning of March. I know because i am auditioning for it. Wish me luck you guys and i hope i get a roll. I am auditioning for another lead roll UHHHH want these auditions to come already.
