Variety is reporting that Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films have paid $3.5 million for writers Terry Rossio (“Pirates of the Caribbean” and “National Treasure”) and Bill Marsilii’s movie “Light Speed.”
The movie is about a young pilot who makes the Earth Interstellar Racing Team and must take his ship on a journey across the galaxy on the brink of war.
Variety states that it is expected that the movie will be live-action and may even appear in 3D.
