ABC’s LOST Final Images Of Plane Crash

May 26, 2010 |  by

If you tuned in for the finale of ABC’s series LOST you know that at the very end during the credits there were images of a plane crash on the island – leading many fans to believe that the Losties had died in the Oceanic Flight 815 wreck, but it turns out the producers are not the ones who included the footage!

An ABC rep for the show said:

The images shown during the end credits of the Lost finale, which included shots of Oceanic 815 on a deserted beach, were not part of the episode but were a visual aid to allow the viewer to decompress before heading into the news.

Interesting! Does that clear up any confusion you had about the series finale? Probably not…

  1. It basically was just a reshowing of how the show started. In the first episode, after the crash, Jack’s eyes opens and he sees the wreckage & all that. So in the last episode, it ends with Jack’s eyes closing & then goes back to that wreckage again. True, there are no people in the closing credits, but that’s because the people no longer live on that beach!
