Congratulations are in order for American Idol alum David Archuleta who was recently voted the best American Idol contestant of all time!
Billboard created a poll to find out who was the favorite AI male and female contestant – and David Archuleta and Carrie Underwood won. Then, they ran a poll to see who was the favorite between the two, and David won with a whopping 92% of the votes!
David said about winning the poll:
I guess the fans I have are just really supportive. I think it’s cool that people consider me their favorite, especially because it’s Billboard. I check Billboard every week and I’m starting to get the magazine more, and I have a Billboard book, so it’s just funny that this is from Billboard, too. It’s not just some teen website, you know? It’s Billboard. I think that’s cool.

It’s rare to find any teen singer who has wide ranges of fans in their age groups. David has fans of all ages because of his singing ability and idol worthy character. Such a humble and pure soul with one in a million voice.
David has the best of everything! Talent, looks, character and of course fans! He is the most humble singer I have ever known! He doesnt even know how really talented he is!!!! An incredible role model for all ages!!! THE VOICE!!!!!He truely can sing anything!!!

Even though he hasn’t been out as long as Carrie or Kelly, I can see a bright future for him. He appeals to varied fans because of his varied genres and languages! AND he’s got that beautiful voice!
