Ok this is awesome! The LOST Complete Series DVD set and the Season 6 DVD (sold both with the complete series and separately) will feature an epilogue that will answer some of our hard pressing questions we were left with when the show ended.
At the end of the series we were unsure how long Hurley and Ben had remained on the island as protectors – well it turns out the DVD will highlight just that! Michael Emerson (Ben) said:
For those people that want to pony up and buy the complete Lost series, there is a bonus feature. Which is um, you could call it an epilogue. A lost scene. It’s a lot; it’s 12 or 14 minutes that opens a window onto that gap of unknown time between Hurley (Jorge Garcia) becoming number one and the end of the series. It’s self-contained. Although, it’s a rich period in the show’s mythology that ‘s never been explored, so who knows what will come of it.
We HAVE to get our hands on this ASAP!

Really important correction. Per your quote above *and* the official product release info: The epilogue is ONLY on the Complete Series Sets (DVD or Blu Ray) and NOT in the Season 6 only set.
