Anthony Ingruber Added To Disney Channel’s “Avalon High”

May 26, 2010 |  by  |  2 Comments

The upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie “Avalon High,” which is currently shooting in New Zealand with director Stuart Gillard, just got a new cast member – Anthony Ingruber.

Here are the movie details:

“In Avalon High Allie is ecstatic when her parents, traveling professors who specialize in King Arthur’s legend, tell her she will be staying at Avalon High until she graduates. She can finally join the track team, make new friends and be a normal high school student. But shortly after arriving, Allie discovers that something strange may be afoot. While researching a term paper on King Arthur’s legacy, she begins to notice some interesting parallels between the past and the present – from handsome quarterback Will, his cheerleader girlfriend, Jen, and their best friend, Lance, to Will’s brooding step-brother, Marco, a quirky kid named Miles and football players who act like knights of the roundtable. The deeper Allie searches, the more convinced she is that her school is a contemporary Camelot, and it’s up to her to solve of the mystery of Avalon High before notorious traitor Mordred wins again.”

20-year-old Anthony will play the character Sean, a football player whose identity plays a part in the modern day Camelot tale. This is Anthony’s first significant supporting role in a film, here’s what he had to say:

It is clear from the caliber of cast and crew they have assembled, that Disney is aiming to make something very special, and I’m honored to be a part of it.

Have You “Shaved” Justin Bieber?

May 25, 2010 |  by  |  5 Comments

OMG we would NEVER do this to poor Justin Bieber!

Web designer Greg Leuch has created an application that rids your computer of anything JB. How does it work? Well, it’s called “Shaved Bieber” and it rids your computer of “unwanted Bieber mentions” by blacking out his name anywhere it appears on your screen and won’t include any photos that include his name in the file.

Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel To Become Prince Charming Regal Carrousel

May 25, 2010 |  by  |  No Comments

The Disney Parks Blog has announced that Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel at Walt Disney World is officially changing its name to Prince Charming Regal Carrousel as of June 1st.

Below is the official story behind the carrosel, and why it makes sense to change the name:

“Following their fairy-tale romance and happily-ever-after wedding, Cinderella and Prince Charming took up residence in Cinderella’s Castle. With peace throughout the kingdom, Prince Charming had time to practice for jousting tournaments. In the countryside near the castle, he built a training device of carved horses, on which he could practice the art of ring-spearing, a tournament event in which a knight rides his horse full speed, lance in hand, toward a small ring hanging from a tree limb, with the object of spearing the ring. This event was known by various names throughout the lands, but generally came to be called ‘carrousel.’

The carrousel device drew the attention of the villagers, who wanted to take a turn on this amazing spinning contraption. So Prince Charming had a second carrousel constructed closer to the Castle, where everyone could take a spin on this wondrous invention. Instead of a working knight’s training device, however, this new carrousel is more befitting its regal location in the Castle Courtyard – its rustic training horses replaced with ornately decorated prancing steeds adorned with golden helmets and shields, flower garlands, feathers and other festoons. Prince Charming invites one and all to test their horsemanship skills and to enjoy their own happy ending.”
