Here we have a first look at Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America in the upcoming Marvle movie “Captain America: The First Avenger.” We are told these are not actual photos but are instead a concept rendering of what the costume will look like on Chris in the movie.
The movie is being directed by Joe Johnston and will begin shooting this summer in the UK and is set to open in theaters in Summer 2011.

He’s a good actor…and getting a clue of what the uniform would look like on him was a good move on their part…but I have this bad feeling that they used him for the very reason “fanboys” didn’t want him: because people already recognized him as The Human Torch. Now, he could surprise everyone, but I really hope that they stay true to the comicbook lore and make him a respectable C.A. and don’t try to fluff up the storyline with some random romance or “other activity” for the people that know nothing about Captain America. Please Marvel…don’t screw this up like you did the first Hulk movie. Keep it true to the original. …you know, overlooking the fact that Nick Fury was once David Hasselhoff and now is Samuel L. Jackson…lol
