Walt Disney Records Toy Story 3 Soundtrack And “Toy Story Favorites” EP

On June 15th Walt Disney Records will release two new albums with songs from the upcoming Disney/Pixar movie “Toy Story 3,” which opens in theaters on June 18th. The first album will be the “Toy Story 3” soundtrack, which will feature score and songs by Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer Randy Newman. Also featured on the album is a version of the popular Toy Story song “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” re-recorded in Spanish by the Gipsy Kings. The album will be available exclusively through online retailers.

“Newman’s score for ‘Toy Story 3′ explores diverse directions, ranging from classic Western themes in the opening sequence to the dramatic orchestrations that accentuate the action-packed climax. Newman serves up another defining musical moment with the end credit song ‘We Belong Together,’ as well as the flamenco-flavored rendition of ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me (Para Buzz Español)’ by the Gipsy Kings. The acclaimed French group recorded it in London at Abbey Road’s legendary Studio 2 (made famous by the Beatles).”

Also being released the same day as the Toy Story 3 soundtrack is a 6-song EP titled “Toy Story Favorites,” which features two tracks from each of the Toy Story movies. The EP will be available in stores on June 15th. The songs on the album are listed below:

- “I Will Go Sailing No More” (Toy Story – 1995)
- “Strange Things” (Toy Story – 1995)
- “When She Loved Me” performed by Sarah McLachlan (Toy Story 2 – 1999)
- “Woody’s Roundup” performed by Riders In The Sky (Toy Story 2 – 1999)
- “We Belong Together” (Toy Story 3 – 2010)
- “You’ve Got A Friend In Me (Para Buzz Espanol)” performed by the Gipsy Kings (Toy Story 3 – 2010)
