DreamWorks Studios: Hugh Jackman And Evangeline Lilly “Real Steel”

YES! Not only is Hugh Jackman, from Marvel’s X-Men “Wolverine” movie, in the upcoming DreamWorks Studios movie “Real Steel,” but one of our favorite Losties Evangeline Lilly is too!!! We never thought we’d see her in anything else after ABC’s LOST ended with its sixth and final season, but this is such an unexpected treat!

“Real Steel” is slated to open in theaters in the US on November 18, 2010. The action-drama film has an amazing cast, including:

- Hugh Jackman
- Evangeline Lilly
- Dakota Goyo
- Kevin Durand
- Anthony Mackie

The screenplay for “Real Steel” was written by John Gatins and the film is directed by Shawn Levy. Shawn is producing the movie along with Don Murphy and Susan Montford and executive producers on the project include Bob Zemeckis, Jack Papke, Steve Starkey, Mary McLaglen and Josh McLaglen.

Here’s the description of the film:

“A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future, where the sport of boxing has gone hi-tech, ‘Real Steel’ stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.”
