The star of the “Harry Potter” franchise, Daniel Radcliffe, revealed in a recent interview with MTV that he was convinced Justin Bieber was a girl when he heard his music:
I only heard Justin Bieber for the first time two weeks ago. I genuinely thought it was a woman singing. I’d never heard it before. Is it big in England yet? I’m so out of the loop when it comes to pop culture that I kind of don’t even try anymore.
Wow, you have to be pretty removed from all media sources to not know who Justin Bieber is! We wonder what Daniel does with his free time, because we know it’s not watching TV, listening to the radio, or surfing the web!

I don’t blame Daniel at all. To be entirely honest, the first time I heard Justin, I thought it was a girl singing, too.
As for him not knowing about the guy, I understand that, too. That’s what happens when you’re busy making money! I know plenty of people who have no clue who he is. And a lot of them DO follow the music scene and everything. Simply put: They don’t care about pop music, they don’t follow pop music, so they don’t know.
Heck, I didn’t know who he was until January or so, and even then it was only b/c they played some song of his at a basketball game I was at. Otherwise I probably wouldn’t have known until a month or 2 ago.
