David was so great! Even with the mic malfunction and the loud orchestra on SSB, which he handled very professionally! I love the way he sings SSB!
His little speech before Stand By Me was so nice and I loved his slightly different version of the song, David always improves his performances and never disappoints!
One of the better voices I ever heard, he sounded (and looked) spectacular!
David was even more spectacular than the fireworks. What a wonderful job he did singing last night. But fabulous singing is what I’ve come to expect from him. The talk he gave honoring the troops before singing Stand By Me was amazing. Everything he does, both singing and speaking is so heartfelt. It comes out in everything he does. The Book he’s written, Chords of Strength, all his singing, shows how humble, kind, and feeling he is. I look at him and I see this sweet, cute, kind of shy-looking kid. But when you “get” this person, you realize that this is not a child; this dear heart knows more, lives more, and cares more, and understands more than most adults ever will. I can only imagine how proud his parents must be and much credit goes to them for his upbringing.
This is not the first time David sang the national anthem and very consistently his rendition has been the BEST. David honoured America and lift up spirits of anyone who listens to his singing and his incredible heartfelt performance. He makes millions of different people with different culture/backgrounds feel the same emotion by the power of his song. Is that not magical? He greatly deserves recognition.
