Zack Snyder, the director of “Sucker Punch,” which is due in theaters March 2011, told MTV at the Comic-Con convention that he was not planning on making “Sucker Punch” in 3D – even though it was something that was talked about in depth, and even though actress Vanessa Hudgens said she would love to see the movie in 3D!
Zack even went so far as to say:
None of us want to get kicked in the knees because our 3-D is crappy.
Are you upset that “Sucker Punch” won’t be in 3D?
I love Vanessa Hudgens. I am so glad that she’s doing Beastly. Because I loved that book and Sucker Punch looks like a good movie because it screams girl power and kicking butt which I love. Can’t wait.
not 3D that’s to bad it looked like it would be cool well Snyder might change his mind
I would have loved to see it in 3D as well, however i know the film will be great without it. I hope it at least has an IMAX release though like watchmen did. At least Tron, Narnia 3, Hp deathly hollows part 2, pirates of the carribean 4, and the green hornet will have 3d. I actually like 3d and while i agree it does not make a film great, i will argue that it makes an already great film even better if the 3d is done right, and honestly i would not mind them delaying sucker punch until november or december 2011 in favor of a 3d release cause i bet if done right that movie could be the next avatar(as far as 3d goes)since every other film since avatar has fell short of it in 3d glory. However thats assuming Tron does not beat it to the title. Ill be the judge of that next month
I believe that narnia 3, hp7-2, green hornet, and pirates 4 will just use average 3d(resident evil afterlife for example) and not push bounderies like avatar and hopefully Tron. Sucker punch would have been amazing in 3d though. When watching the trailer some parts just look like they would be perfect in 3d. I also hope this movie is long like watchmen just not as boring at some parts. If zack can make the pacing of this movies action and talk sequence’s perfect and makes it a 2 hour 30 min or 3 hour movie we could have something truly epic on our hands.
