Zac Efron appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly today, July 27, 2010 to talk about his upcoming film “Charlie St. Cloud,” which releases to theaters on Friday, July 30th.
In the video below you can listen to Zac talk about his role in the film as well as the plot of the movie. He also talks about “High School Musical” and his co-stars in the Disney Movie and what they are up to now.
Sadly, Zac doesn’t mention girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens in the interview, but he does talk about his abs! Check it out:
Turns out Disney/Pixar’s latest movie in the Toy Story franchise, “Toy Story 3,” had the biggest opening ever for an animated film in the United Kingdom! Wow! But it doesn’t just stop there – “Toy Story 3″ had the second biggest movie opening of all time, bringing in £21.19 million.

In an interview with Movieline Zac Efron talked about how he hasn’t singed on for any action movies yet, saying that he has to find the right one:
When a superhero movie is about to get made, we’re at different levels of conversation about it. I find that it’s hard to commit to an action movie for the sake of doing action. I love action as much as the next guy, but I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite genre or one that I look for an amazing performance in…I think it would be about finding the right one.
So when will we get to see Zac acting in an action flick?
It hasn’t been the right time necessarily, or it’s too early. I don’t feel that I’ve earned it quite yet, to be honest. The people that you see them find for superheroes, you go, ‘Oh yeah, that’s great. That guy is perfect, what a great idea.’ Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern? You go, ‘Finally, he’s going to do something great! We’ve been waiting for it, he’s done all these other things and now I want to see him as that character.’
MTV released a list of the five biggest stories from this years 2010 Comic-Con held in San Diego, and the Walt Disney Company should be pleased with the results seeing as they took three out of the top five stories!
