Alyson Stoner is in the new Touchstone Pictures movie “Step Up 3D,” which hit theaters today, August 6th. You can check out our review of the dance movie here, and below you can check out what Alyson told us about “Step Up 3D”!
Here’s what Alyson said about her role in the movie:
“I play Camille. She is a dependable, loyal best friend totally in love with Moose [played by Adam Sevani], but he is completely oblivious and she has ironically given up dance to pursue other studies and that is the difference between her and Moose – she’s waiting for him to wake up and join the real world. They’re going to NYU together, and I think she expected to become closer to him, but he’s distracted with other things – but she’s still always there to support him.”
So how did working on “Step Up 3D” compare to working on Disney Channel’s “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam”?
“The whole 3D technology takes a lot more time to film, so the process is more strenuous doing the choreography from different angles, and in ‘Camp Rock 2′ it’s more simple to get the shots we need and move onto the next sequence. ‘Camp Rock’ is pretty straight forward, but with ‘Step Up 3D’ I have the new angle of romance. Overall, both are dancing, acting and singing performance movies.”
What was Alyson’s favorite thing about working on “Step Up 3D”?
“Getting to be in the dance movie again because I had taken a break from working on dance movies. Because of that I’ve learned how to break dance, and now I’m learning head spins.”
