Zac Efron told Details Magazine that he dropped out of the remake of “Footloose” because he didn’t love the script as much as he would have liked to. Zac had to let director Kenny Ortega know the bad news, which was hard since Kenny directed all three of Zac’s hit Disney “High School Musical” movies. Zac said:
All the things I loved about Footloose I couldn’t find in the project. They just weren’t there. I couldn’t see myself doing it. I love Kenny with all my heart. It was literally the hardest phone call I’ve ever made.
Are you sad that Zac dropped out of the “Footloose” remake? Or are you glad that it freed up time for Zac to work on other projects?
