ABC Family Orders Three New Pilot Shows
ABC Family has just announced that they have ordered three new pilot shows. Kate Juergens, the Executive Vice President of original programming and development, said about the new one-hour dramas:
These pilots offer a great mix of heartfelt and compelling storytelling that our audience has come to expect from us.
The first pilot is called “Nine Lives.” The show is based on the book “The Nine Lives of Chloe King” by Celia Thomson. The story is about a teen girl who develops superpowers after she tuns 16 as she is part of an ancient race that has been hunted by assassins for years – and she is their only hope for survival!
The second show, “Switched at Birth,” is about two girls, one who is poor and has lost her hearing, and one who is rich and living a happy life with her family. The girls find out they were switched at birth and the families are forced to learn how to live together for the sake of the kids.
The final show is titled “Strut” and is about a showgirl, named Roxy, who marries a stranger after a wild evening. Overnight Roxy finds herself living in a small town in Texas and working with the local high school’s drill team. Will she be able to help the struggling dance team and in the process change the rest of the town?
The shows do not have cast members yet, but as of now which shows do you think you will be most likely to tune in for?
