Paul Yanover, the Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Disney Online talked with Forbes.com about the new Disney.com homepage and how it was designed for Disney fans:
We strive to truly present the ‘zeitgeist’ of Disney and allow our guests to really effectively tap into the Disney experience most interesting to them — we think, ‘What’s new?,’ ‘What’s relevant?’ and ‘What’s popular?’ Our latest homepage represents the culmination of a few years of streamlining ‘brand Disney’ on the Web. A couple of years ago there were hundreds of different Disney websites with different architecture, media players, navigation – you get the idea. With today’s Disney.com our goal is to represent all things Disney in an easy to navigate environment that still brings an element of ‘Disney magic’ to the web – all with a unified back end that allows our creativity to shine.
