Taylor Swift “Rock Of Ages” Movie
It is being reported that Taylor Swift has been offered the role of Sherrie Christian in the movie adaptation of the hit Broadway musical “Rock of Ages.” It is also being reported that actor Tom Cruise has been offered a supporting role as a bartender (with singing parts) in the movie as well.
The “Rock of Ages” film will be put out by New Line Cinema and is a story of a young rocker trying to get his big break along with a small town girl who is chasing her own dreams. Both young artists end up in LA just as a legendary Hollywood venue is about to close for good.
The movie would begin production in January 2011 if all the actors were in place by then. Miley Cyrus has also been rumored to have been considered for a role in the film.

No, I saw the original Broadway play front row and I think that this character has too much of an edge for Taylor Swift to pull off successfully. I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE this rumored casting because it doesn’t go along with the play at ALL.

OMG! Who ever said Swift would be great has NEVER seen the production. I’m still walking the fence on being okay with it becoming a film. Seriously, no offense to Swift but she doesn’t have the character it takes to be “Sherrie”. Besides, does Swift really want to be know as the loose chick who bangs sleazy rock stars in the mens’ room?!
The actors they picked really don’t fit the roles. They need good comedy actors and these People usually don’t do comedy or just don’t fit it.
