Miley Cyrus’ new movie “LOL: Laughing Out Loud” has been picked up by Lionsgate entertainment studio. The movie was independently produced by Mandate Pictures and is a remake of a popular French film and comes from the same director, Lisa Azuelos.

Here is the description of the film from YouTube:

“In a world connected by YouTube, iTunes, and Facebook, Lola and her friends navigate the peer pressures of high school romance and friendship while dodging their sometimes overbearing and confused parents.”

In the movie Miley plays Lola, who is a very different character than we are used to seeing Miley play. Also in the film with Miley is Joe Jonas’ new girlfriend, Twilight star Ashley Greene, and Demi Moore who plays Miley’s mother in the movie.
