Below you can watch a DCOM extra for the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie “Avalon High.” In the short extra you can see what it was like for the cast of “Avalon High” to train to sword fight, while wearing armor on a beach in New Zealand.
It turns out the swords used by the actors were rubber so none of them would get hurt during filming, but somehow the people behind the scenes still managed to make them look real! Watch the video below to learn how!

The Disney Cruise line has announced a number of fun and exciting entertainment opportunities aboard the newest cruise ship the Disney Dream. From on deck fireworks and shows to three fantastic shows on board at the Walt Disney Theater, this cruise ship is going to offer an experience unlike any of the rest.
The shows that will be performed in the Walt Disney theater include:
- “Disney’s Believe”
- “The Golden Mickeys: A Timeless Tribute”
- “Villains Tonight!”
In addition, there will be a “Mickey’s Pirates in the Caribbean” show on deck featuring a number of Disney characters dressed like pirates. And don’t worry, Captain Jack Sparrow from Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies will be there too to start an open-air dance party!

It is being reported that D.L. Hughley, Gina Gershon and Michael McKean are all set to guest star on TBS’ new show “Glory Daze.”
D.L. will play Coach Franklin while Michael will be in charge of campus maintance and Gina will be a military instructor who works hard to get her students into shape.
“Glory Daze” stars two Disney albums, Kelly Blatz (“Kyle XY”) and Drew Seeley (“High School Musical“) along with Matt Bush and Hartley Sawyer.
The new TBS show will premiere on Tuesday, November 16th while D.L. And Michael don’t appear on the show until November 30th, with D.L. returning again on December 7th, and Gina appearing in the December 21st episode.
Brad Garrett and Cheri Oteri will guest star in the shows pilot episode.
