Disney Pixar “Toy Story 3″ Blu-ray Combo Pack Review

November 2nd, 2010 by

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has released Disney/Pixar’s “Toy Story 3” on Blu-ray DVD Combo Pack, 2 Disc Blu-ray and single-disc DVD. We absolutely love the third movie in the “Toy Story” franchise and Disney/Pixar did a great job bringing everyone’s favorite Toy Story characters to life again along with a number of new characters that truly warm the hearts of the audience.

“Toy Story 3″ is the biggest animated film in box office history, and it is easy to see why when you watch the movie and spend time with the beloved Toy Story characters.

There are hours of bonus features on the Blu-ray Disc version of the movie, including filmmaker commentary with Director Lee Unkrich and Producer Daria K. Anderson. Some of the bonus features gave us great insight into the minds of the individuals working at Pixar and showed us how much fun it is, as well as how much work it takes, to be a member of the Pixar team. Also, the Toy Story Trivia Dash game really tested our knowledge and was fun for the whole family!

In the movie Andy is going to college and his toys are trying to get his attention before he goes in the hopes of getting played with. When Andy decides only to take Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks) with him to school he puts the rest of his toys, including Buzz Lightyear (voiced by Tim Allen) in a trash bag set to be taken to the attic. However, before Andy can make it up the attic stairs he is interrupted by his younger sister who needs his help and his mom finds the trash bag and takes it out to the sidewalk for the garbage man to dispose of.

The toys then go on an insanely entertaining adventure that takes them to Sunnyside Daycare where at first they are extremely excited to be played with by the children there, but they then realize that the daycare isn’t what they at first thought it was, and that the other toys there aren’t always the most friendly – especially Lots-O’-Huggin’ Bear (voiced by Ned Beatty).

Will the toys be able to get out of Sunnyside? And if they do escape will they be able to find their way back to Andy’s attic where they were meant to be? You’ll have to watch the movie to find out!

If you watch “Toy Story 3″ be sure to share your review of the movie in the comments section!

I seriously need to get a BluRay player. While I got my Toy Story 3 DVD in the mail yesterday, I didn’t get the BluRay version. I’m missing out on lots of great content! Thanks for the review. :)
