Disney Pixar’s “Monsters, Inc” Released On November 2, 2001

On November 2, 2001 the world got to meet the characters Sulley and Mike Wazowski from Disney/Pixar’s “Monsters, Inc.” Sulley is one of the top Scarers while Mike is his Scare Assistant and best friend.

The movie is about the monsters learning that scaring might not be the best way to collect energy for their world, and that perhaps the best way to get the energy they need is to make kids laugh.

The movie was directed by Pete Doctor and characters in the animated movie were voiced by the following actors:

– John Goodman as James P. (Sulley) Sullivan
– Billy Crystal as Mike Wazowski
– James Coburn as Henry J. Waternoose
– Jennifer Tilly as Celia
– Steve Buscemi as Randall Boggs
– Mary Gibbs as Boo
– John Ratzenberger as Yeti
– Bonnie Hunt as Ms. Flint

Music in the movie was done by Randy Newman and the song “If I Didn’t Have You” won the Oscar for Best Song that year. The movie was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Score, Best Sound Effects And Editing, and Best Animated Feature Film.
